The Ram Nagar Fort is a historical fort situated on the eastern banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi. Built in the 18th century by Kashi Naresh Raja Balwant Singh, the fort served as the royal residence of the Kashi Naresh family, the erstwhile rulers of Varanasi. The fort's architecture combines Mughal and Rajput styles, featuring large courtyards, imposing gates, intricate wooden carvings, and defensive walls.

The fort also houses a museum that displays various artifacts related to the royal family, including antique weapons, costumes, and paintings. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride across the Ganges to reach the fort, which offers a scenic view of the river and surrounding area. Although it is less visited than other major landmarks, Ram Nagar Fort offers a peaceful and historic escape in Varanasi, reflecting the city’s rich cultural heritage.
